Recently, I read an article talking about the top 10 American cities that have the worst water ... it was sickening, actually.  I have read other articles in the past talking about all the nasty compounds found in city water in general ... things like pharmaceutical byproducts, pesticides, all kinds of chemicals that we should not be exposed to, bacterias, viruses and the list goes on and on.  However, the 10 cities mentioned in the article that I recently read have it extra bad.

Sometimes I wonder how these things happen ... how do the people we entrust with keeping our water clean sleep at night, knowing about all the junk that flows through the faucets of so many unsuspecting American homes???  Don't know the answer to that question, but what I do know is that I want to take every precaution I can to protect my family from the unseen and teeny-tiny contaminants in our water.

Now, I know there are many water filtration/purifier systems on the market ... so please make sure to do good research before buying one, always remembering that quality (of the system and of the water after it is filtered/purified) should be a main consideration. I would like to share with you the filtration system we as a family use ... I don't like to make a habit of promoting products on my blog that I use from and sell in my business, 'cause then people get all up in arms and become defensive.  BUT ... I firmly believe that this product can make a difference in your life and in the taste, appearance and content of your water.

We have had our eSpring water purifier for about 4 years now ... and I almost can't drink regular city or well water because the taste of water purified by our eSpring purifier is so much more clean.  Very difficult to describe, but if you experience it for yourself, you 'd understand ... and the fact that I can rest at ease knowing my family's water is pure, clean and virtually void of any type of contaminants, but yet still contains beneficial  minerals ... definitely gives peace of mind.

You might notice the following as I did, but these things actually sold me on the eSpring unit ... 1). Yes, the cost of this purifer may seem a bit high ... BUT, remember that it's a one time purchase and the filter itself needs replacing only ONCE a year (bonus!!), plus it saves buying bottled water ... 2). The eSpring purifier improves the taste, odor, and clarity of up to 1,320 gallons of water, enough for a family of six to cook and drink with for one year ... we do cook with and drink eSpring water ... the only time I use my faucet is for washing dishes ... and 3). eSpring takes care of the following issues found in most drinking water in the United States:

Description

The eSpring® Water Purifier improves the taste, odor, and clarity of up to 1,320 gallons of water, enough for a family of six to cook and drink with, for one year. Independent third-party testing has shown that the carbon-block filter effectively reduces more than 140 potential health-effect impurities – like pesticides, VOCs, mercury, and lead – yet allows beneficial minerals like calcium and magnesium to pass through. The UV bulb destroys up to 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.99% of viruses, and 99.95% of cysts in drinking water without the use of chemicals.

The eSpring Water Purifier is certified by NSF International (NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53, and 55B) and has earned the Gold Seal from the Water Quality Association.

Benefits

  • Improves taste, odor, and clarity.
  • NEW! eSpring effectively reduces pharmaceuticals Atenolol and Ethinyl Estradiol (17-alpha ethynyl estradiol).
  • The filter cartridge is designed to serve the average cooking and drinking water needs for a family of six for one year or 1,320 gallons, whichever comes first.
  • Cost-effective: The cost per gallon in the second year is less than 15 cents.
  • Patented monitoring system lets you know the carbon filter and UV bulb are working, and when it's time for the annual cartridge change.
  • Changing the cartridge is simple and requires no special tools.
  • The UV bulb inside the cartridge switches on only when you turn on the tap, so water flows cold, not warmed by the UV light.
  • Comes with a three-year warranty. And a refund within 120 days of your purchase if you're not completely and utterly satisfied.

And, of course, if you desire more infomation to research, especially when it comes to what specifically eSpring removes from water, there is so much more on my website and at the official eSpring website as well.

Ok ... I'm off my soapbox ... for now, anyway Wink Hope you all have a splendid weekend!!!
